In order to put your files and webpages to the internet so they are viewable by the public you must upload them to your Education.Exodios FTP directory.
Unlike Windows, Mac OS does not come with a GUI FTP client pre-installed. Don't worry though, you can easily download and install a client for free from the internet.
First of all open Safari and browse to http://www.apple.com and click on the Downloads tab.
On the navigation on the left hand side select Internet Utilities from the All Downloads section.
Browse through the list look for, download, and install Classic FTP.
Open Finder from the dock.
When the Finder window comes up select applications and double click on Classic FTP.
You now need to set up the Classic FTP client to work with Education.Exodios.
First click on the Sites button in the top of the Classic FTP window.
The Site Manager window will appear, at the bottom of this window click on the Add Site button.
The FTP Site Properties dialogue box will appear. Fill out the fields as follows.
Label: Education.Exodios (This field can also be whatever you want)
FTP Server: exodios.com
Username: (Your Education.Exodios Username)
Password: (Your Education.Exodios Password)
Use Secure FTP (Explicit SSL): (UNCHECKED)
Remote directory when connected to: (Your Education.Exodios website address without any prefixes (http://) or slashes.)
Local director when connected to: (Can be whatever you want.)
Once you have entered all of the information correctly click on Test FTP Settings to verify that the information is correct.
If the settings are correct you will see the FTP Test results indicating that everything is correct. Once you see this, click ok on the Test Results window, ok on the FTP Site Properties window, and then close on the Site Manager window.
Connect to the FTP Server by clicking on the Connect button in the Classic FTP window and select the name of the server you want to connect to. This will be the same as the Label that you specified when you were setting up the site on the client.
Once you are connected to the server, uploading files and webpages is as simple as selecting the file in the list on the left and clicking the upload button in the middle. Once the transfer process is complete it will appear on the left.
When you need to upload files in a different session you can skip step 2. Classic FTP has additional more advanced options such as synchronization so be sure to consult the user guide for the client in order to make the most of the technology. Other than that, that's it!
